Pallet Loading and Positioning System
* Ball mat installed at FWD cargo door
* Roller floor installed full length AFT of ball mat
-- 4 in existing seat tracks
-- 2 at aircraft centre line on floor panels
* Allows for easy positioning of pallets in cargo compartment
* Includes full length pallet guides and kick plates
* 88 x 108 pallets built to use same guides and rollers
Cargo Nets
* Cargo nets used to separate compartment
-- 7 bays (ATR 42)
-- 8 bays (ATR 72)
* No baggage posts used, compartment is free of obstruction with nets removed
* Nets are secured to low profile ceiling/side wall hardpoints and existing seat tracks
* Nets are installed with snaphooks for quick release during loading/ unloading
* 40 x 48 pallets tied down using herc straps in groups of 2 within the larger bays
* Bear traps required for 88 x 108 pallets
* Rollers permit access to seat tracks for tie down attachments
Cargo Doors
* FWD cargo door modified for opening and securing from the inside of the aircraft
* Cargo door opens manually with mechanical lever system and gas strut counter-balance
* Rear passenger door modified to hinge upwards
Sill Guard
* Installed on the door sill of the FWD cargo door and rear passenger door
* Hinged to fold into the aircraft when not used
* Prevents damage to aircraft skin during loading
* Sill guard for wide cargo door is similar
Smoke Detection & Ventilation
* Full length smoke detection system with cockpit annunciation
* Rework of under floor ventilation to isolate compartment ventilation from cockpit
* Sealing of existing cockpit door and cockpit
* Cargo compartment venting added
* Optional fume alert for fuel cargo
Ground-Operable Lighting System
* Installation of full length compartment lighting
